If you decide to visit any of the above cemeteries in the rural areas of
the South, it is recommended that you wear long, protective clothing (briars can tear you
up) and use plenty of Deet spray to ward off the chiggers, ticks, mosquitoes, etc.
This is especially important in the summer months.
Church cemeteries are relatively easy to locate, but the rural cemeteries on private land
may present more of a challenge. One more thing you should check before visiting the rural
cemeteries is if it is hunting season. |
